But Palm Beach isn’t just for resort guests.
Even if you’re staying elsewhere on the island, Palm Beach is absolutely worth visiting. Public beach access is available all along the shoreline, and you’ll find plenty of places to eat, drink and enjoy the Caribbean Sea.

You’ll never have trouble finding somewhere to grab lunch, enjoy happy hour or book a watersport activity. Everything is within walking distance, making it one of the easiest beaches on the island to spend an entire day.
If you’re looking for peace and quiet, Eagle Beach may be a better fit.
If you’re looking for atmosphere, convenience and plenty to do, Palm Beach is hard to beat.
Where Is Palm Beach?
Palm Beach is located on Aruba’s northwest coast, just north of Eagle Beach.
The beach stretches for roughly two kilometers in front of many of Aruba’s most popular resorts, including:

Even though several resorts sit directly on the beach, the beach itself is completely public. Everyone is welcome to enjoy it.
Parking at Palm Beach
Parking is often one of the biggest questions visitors have—and fortunately, you have several good options.
Between Hyatt & Barceló
There’s also a public parking area located between the Hyatt and Barceló hotels.
Many visitors don’t realize this parking area exists, making it a convenient option if you arrive before late morning.
Holiday Inn
Near the Holiday Inn you’ll find both free and paid parking options.
The free spaces tend to fill up early, but paid parking is usually available throughout the day.
Moomba Beach
One of our favorite places to park is near Moomba Beach.
From here, you can simply walk south toward the hotel area or north if you’re looking for a slightly quieter stretch of beach.
It’s also a great place to end your day with drinks or dinner.
Village Mall Parking
Another option is the large parking lot next to The Village Mall, near Senor Frog’s and Fat Tuesday.
This lot is privately owned.
If you’re visiting one of the restaurants or bars there, parking is generally free.
If you’re only using the lot to access the beach, there may be a small parking fee (usually around $3, depending on whether parking attendants are present that day).
It’s still a convenient option if the beachfront parking areas are full.

If you’re planning to spend the entire day at Palm Beach, try arriving before 9:00 AM.
You’ll have a much easier time finding parking, choosing the perfect spot on the beach and enjoying a quieter morning before the beach becomes busier.
Beach Facilities at Palm Beach
Palm Beach is one of the easiest beaches in Aruba for spending an entire day. Everything you need is within walking distance, whether you’re looking for a comfortable beach chair, a quick lunch or simply somewhere to freshen up.
Toilets & showers
Public facilities are limited, but you’ll find restrooms and outdoor showers at several locations along the beach.

Some beach bars and restaurants (usually for customers)
Most hotels reserve their facilities for guests only, so don’t expect to walk into a resort lobby to use the restroom.
Beach chairs & umbrellas
At nearly every corner, vendors rent beach chairs and umbrellas.
If you prefer more flexibility, simply bring your own beach umbrella and towel. There is plenty of space on the public beach.
Where to Eat at Palm Beach

Eduardo’s Beach Shack

If you’re looking for something light and refreshing, Eduardo’s serves delicious smoothie bowls, fresh juices, wraps and healthy breakfasts just steps from the sand.
Perfect for breakfast or lunch before heading back to the beach.
Bugaloe Beach Bar
Located on Palm Pier, Bugaloe is one of Aruba’s most iconic beach bars.
Come here for:
cocktails with an ocean view
live music on many evenings
fresh seafood
a relaxed Caribbean atmosphere
It’s also a great place to watch the sunset while enjoying a cold drink.
Pelican Nest
At the end of Pelican Pier you’ll find Pelican Nest Seafood Grill.
This is one of the nicest places to enjoy dinner literally above the water while boats gently pass by.
Try to reserve around sunset if possible.
Moomba Beach
Moomba is one of the liveliest places on Palm Beach.
During the day it’s relaxed, but later in the afternoon and evening it becomes much more energetic with music, drinks and a mixed crowd.
It’s a great stop if you’re looking for a fun beach atmosphere rather than a quiet afternoon.
Nos Clubhuis
Located right on the beach, Nos Clubhuis is a wonderful place for breakfast (after 10 AM), lunch or sunset drinks.
Expect fresh seafood, Dutch-Caribbean favorites and beautiful ocean views without the upscale resort prices.
Watersports & Catamaran Cruises
If you’re looking for adventure, Palm Beach is Aruba’s watersports hub.
You’ll find watersport operators every few hundred feet offering activities like:

You don’t need to book far in advance for most activities.

The water gradually gets deeper, so you can comfortably walk quite far into the sea.
Is Palm Beach Good for Snorkeling?

Although the water is incredibly clear, there isn’t much coral or marine life close to shore.
