While Palm Beach is known for its lively atmosphere and resorts, Eagle Beach offers something completely different. It’s quieter, more spacious, and perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing beach day without feeling surrounded by crowds.
Whether you’re planning to swim, enjoy the sunset, take a long beach walk, or simply spend the afternoon under an umbrella, here’s everything you need to know before you go.
Why Visit Eagle Beach?
If we had to describe Eagle Beach in one word, it would be space.
The beach is incredibly wide, giving everyone plenty of room to spread out—even during Aruba’s busy season.
Unlike Palm Beach, there are no high-rise hotels directly lining the sand, which gives Eagle Beach a much more peaceful and natural feel.
It’s one of our favorite beaches for:

Where Is Eagle Beach?
Eagle Beach is located on Aruba’s west coast, just south of Palm Beach.
If you’re staying in Palm Beach, it’s only a 5–10 minute drive. From Oranjestad, you’ll usually arrive in less than 10 minutes.
It’s easy to reach by rental car, taxi, or local bus (L10).
Parking
Parking at Eagle Beach is completely free.
The two most popular parking areas are:
Near Amsterdam Manor
Near Coco Loco Beach Bar
There are also several smaller beach access roads with parking spaces between these two points.
One thing to keep in mind is that the Coco Loco area can become quite busy, especially on cruise ship days. Many taxis and tour buses drop visitors off there, so parking fills up quickly.
If you’re visiting during a busy day, we recommend arriving early in the morning or later in the afternoon.

Our Tip: Walk A Little Further
Here’s one of our favorite local tips.
Most visitors stay close to the main entrances near Coco Loco.
Instead, park there if you like—but then simply walk a little further down the beach toward the low-rise resorts either to the left or right.
Within just a few minutes, you’ll often find much quieter stretches of sand with far fewer people.
If you’ve brought your own beach tent, umbrella, or chairs, this is also one of the nicest areas to set up for the day.

Looking for a casual lunch or a cold drink without leaving the beach?
Coco Loco is a relaxed beachfront bar serving burgers, sandwiches, cocktails, and refreshing drinks just steps from the ocean.
It’s also one of the easiest places to find restrooms and outdoor showers.
Mama’s Food Truck
If you’re looking for something quick, affordable, and surprisingly delicious, don’t skip Mama’s Food Truck.
It’s a favorite among both visitors and locals and makes an excellent lunch stop without having to leave the beach.

Unlike Palm Beach, however, Eagle Beach is more exposed to the open sea.
That means wave conditions can change depending on the weather.
On calm days, it’s perfect for swimming.
On windier days, you’ll often notice larger waves and stronger surf.
Always pay attention to current conditions before heading into the water.

Although Eagle Beach is generally quieter than Palm Beach, you can still enjoy plenty of water activities.
Beach huts along the shore offer:

If an activity isn’t available directly from the section where you’re sitting, simply ask at one of the beach huts. They’ll usually arrange transportation by boat to the Palm Beach water sports area.
Is Eagle Beach Good For Snorkeling?
Not really.
While the water is incredibly clear, there isn’t much marine life close to shore.
Occasionally people spot a sea turtle farther offshore, but Eagle Beach isn’t considered one of Aruba’s snorkeling beaches.
If snorkeling is one of your priorities, we’d recommend visiting Baby Beach, Mangel Halto, Boca Catalina, or Arashi Beach instead.
